Namakagon Landing

The Namakagon Landing rental home offers lodging on beautiful Lake Namakagon and the Namakagon River in Cable, Wisconsin. The home is 100% wheelchair accessible but all are welcome. This recently built, air-conditioned vacation home features a 100% barrier free, open layout all on one level with DSL/Wireless Internet access. The rental home has an extra large, fully stocked kitchen, two bathrooms, one wheelchair accessible and includes a roll-in shower. The property is level all the way to the lake. There is a boardwalk for easy access to the dock and a ramp for access to the Sweetwater pontoon boat (available for rent daily/weekly).

The open great room has wonderful lake views and a carpeted living room area with comfortable sofa and loveseat surrounding a stone, gas fireplace. The Cable TV set and DVD player sit above the fireplace. The large, open kitchen with tile floor has a gas stovetop and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker/grinder, waffle-maker, toaster and refrigerator/freezer. Cozy up to the kitchen counter on a stool or enjoy a meal and conversation at the dining room table or the picnic table in the yard.

Patio doors lead out from the great room into the sunroom which contains a queen adjustible bed and overlooks the lake. Outside the sunroom is a patio with Adirondack chairs. Perennial garden, and gas grill. A mud room entryway with washer/dryer leads to a heated attached garage, where there is ample parking for two vehicles and parking for multiple cars in the driveway.

There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms, sunroom, and living room. All of the bedrooms are off the great room and the beds are wheelchair compatible heights. The master bedroom has an adjustable king sized, bed (20" high), TV, and full accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower. The second bedroom has a full bed (22") and TV and a third bedroom has a trundle bunk bed (20") that sleeps five. The sunroom has an adjustible queen bed and the best views in the house.

In the summer months, enjoy boating, fishing, canoe and kayaking, world class mountain, gravel, and road biking, swimming, hiking, birdwatching, or just relaxing by the lake. The headwaters of the Namakagon River begin right outside your door. You can paddle the serene backwater channel for a few hours or, all the way to the Gulf of Mexico, if you choose. Several kayaks and a canoe are available for your use during your stay at no charge (Including lifejackets and paddles). The pontoon boat is available for rent daily or weekly.

*ATV/UTV use Please be aware of designated ATV/UTV Routes and Trailheads. Town of Namakagon has strict ordinances and ATV/UTV's must be trailered at all times. In the winter months enjoy easy access to the snowmobile trails, ice fishing, and the world class, Birkebiener X-C ski and snowshoe trails. A heated, accessible ice-fishing house with a side door and a ramp in the back is available at no charge and can be placed on the lake at your request.

*We have been working with the Department of Health and have new cleaning standards and procedures for all our Beds. On each bed we will
provide a fitted sheet, pillow and pillow case, and blanket. You will need to bring your own soaps and towels.

  What a beautiful cabin with all the amenities! Wheelchair accessible, which is why we chose to stay here. The adjustable bed was wonderful for my teen who uses a wheelchair.   Loved this home on the lake. Great dock, fire pit that we enjoyed, spacious kitchen. Mattresses were somewhat uncomfortable and the leather sectional couch was not great as the cushions kept sliding off and the bedroom TV’s were impossible to figure out how to use, ( the main tv was fine!) but the home was very clean , huge garage, very functional kitchen and we will be going back next summer ! Great response to phone calls for questions!

  We rented this cabin because someone in our party was in a wheelchair. It is VERY difficult to find truly accessible accommodations. This cabin satisfied most of our accessibility requirements. The interior of the cabin and the grounds were very pleasant. The view of the water is nothing special. Even though the lake is huge, this cabin is in a small "lagoon" type area. I don't recommend swimming there; the lake bottom is all mud. Had we been able to use the pontoon to explore the greater lake, I'm sure we would've had a better lake experience.

  We enjoyed our vacation in Cable so much. The house was large enough for our entire family and was very well maintained. The pontoon was easy for my son to get on, with his wheelchair. They thought of everything a person could need. If you have children I recommend the log show, the fishing museum and the wilderness park.

  We had a great vacation. The weather was good, no bugs and a very nice, clean house to stay in. The beds could be a little better for 4 of the guests. The master was very nice but the other 2 rooms would be better if they were queen beds. The kitchen had nice dishes and most of everything you need. We took a few extras with us in case we needed them. The property was handicap accessible just like we were told.

  This is the 3rd year we have rented this cabin. There is nothing like it out there. As an accessible cabin, we are able to bring 4 individuals with disabilities for a weekend getaway that they love and look forward to each year. I spoke with the management they day prior to be sure I had all the details lined up and they were very accommodating & friendly. One suggestion - as an accessible cabin the furniture sits very low to the ground and can be hard for older individuals and those with more difficult getting around to get up off of.
