Set on the peaceful shores of Spider Lake in the Chequamegon National Forest, this lakefront log cabin offers the perfect blend of adventure, privacy, and relaxation.
Surrounded by nature and wildlife, Birch Haven is tucked into a quiet, secluded setting while still being just minutes from Clam Lake and Mellen for gas, supplies, and dining. You’ll also be within easy driving distance of some of the area’s most popular attractions, including St. Peter’s Dome, Copper Falls State Park, Ashland, Bayfield, Lake Superior, and even Hayward for shopping, family activities, and the Fishing Hall of Fame.

Inside, this charming log home features a warm and inviting layout with beautiful wood finishes throughout. The lakeside dining area offers panoramic views of the outdoors, while the fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to prepare meals, including a drip coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, oven/range, and full-size refrigerator. The main level includes a bedroom with a stunning log king bed and a full bathroom. Upstairs, the loft offers two twin beds and a half bath. The walkout lower level provides additional space with two bedrooms—one with a queen bed and half bath, and another with a full-size bed, full-size futon, and full bathroom—making it easy for groups and families to spread out comfortably.

Step outside to enjoy the best of lake life with a large yard, sandy shoreline, wraparound deck, fire ring, private dock, and swimming area. A rowboat is included with your stay, and the boat landing is conveniently located just down the road. Spider Lake is known for its peaceful setting and great fishing, including crappies, panfish, and walleye.
For your stay, bedding is provided, including sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and blankets. Guests should plan to bring their own towels and personal toiletries.

  We were only able to be there for a weekend, but had a great time! The cabin was perfect for our crew to use as a base for snowmobiling and very comfortable to relax in the evenings. The only thing that would make it better would be to have a trail spur closer to the cabin.

  Beautiful cabin with a northwoods decor.
  We had a wonderful stay in a spotless home with a nice yard, Weber grill, nice lake view and fishing dock. We would've liked a later checkout time. 9am is too early! How about 10am? We plan to come back next year!

  Great location. The cabin was spacious and had all the kitchen utensils needed. Every morning we had just a glorious view of the lake. I only wish they had most of the lights on a few major switches rather than having to turn on all the separate light fixtures. A very minor issue. Kitchen lights are tricky to find/ partially on the wallpapered wall behind the fridge and near the bakers rack- FYI. It does list that on the fridge, but I wasn't able to see it due to arriving in the evening and too dark in the kitchen to see it. Maybe a tent card on the island stating that? Otherwise a fantastic place that I would happily return to again. Thank you to the owners, staff and cleaning crew for a lovely stay.
